Academy Awards Prediction Challenge WINNERS 22-23

Ms. Lori Auletta (l) was the overall winner of the Star Status Academy Awards Challenge with a total of 1900 points. Elliot Greenberg scored highest among students with a total of 1000 points.
The Academy Awards took place on Sunday, March 12, 2023 where the winners of the prestigious awards were announced. Nottingham hosted its annual prediction contest where Northstars tried to guess who the winners would be. Notably, Everything Everywhere All at Once took home the most awards including Best Picture, Best Direction, and Best Actress in a Leading Role.
The top winners of the prediction contest, out of 2400 possible points, were as follows: Ms. Lori Auletta (Staff/1900p), Dy’Mind Addison (12th/900p), Elliot Greenberg (11th/1000p), Mildred Cuevas (10th/500p), and a tie between Juliana Fresolone and Jayde Bardales (9th/500p). Elliot was the overall winner among students.
When asked how he knew so much about movies, Elliot stated, "I saw Everything Everywhere All at Once and it was very good, so I selected most of the nominations from that movie."
The runner-ups are as follows for staff: Ms. Tiffany Wilkes (1600p), Ms. Zenaida Manzano (900p). The runner-ups are as follows for 12th: a three-way tie between Evan Vistoso, Caitlin Hill, and Tyrhee Bethea (800p), William Chrysler (700p). The runner-ups are as follows for 11th: Iffat Musaddeque (800p), Alexander Vasquez Perez (700p). There are no runner-ups for 10th grade. The runner-ups are as follows for 9th: Christopher Manning (400p), Samantha Anne Escano (300p).
