Info on Fun Day
by Joshua Rivera
Nottingham High School is hosting a special gathering on the 14th of June. This event, which is being called “Fun Day”, will be an organized gathering of Senior students outside of the school building. “Fun Day” promises students access to food, lawn games, and yearbook related hijinx, while requesting students bring their own chairs, beach towels, or blankets. Star Status writer Joshua Manuel Rivera, feeling curious about the situation at hand, turned to Mrs. Dunham as a means of gathering more information on this event:
Rivera: In the Class of 2021 Google Classroom, it is written that there will be food and drink provided to the students attending. Are these commodities free of charge, or will they cost money? If the foods provided do cost money, are students allowed to bring their own meals?
Dunham: Everything is free! Yes, they are welcome to bring their own meals.
Rivera: On the topic of food, what sort of foods does the school plan on giving out? Should we expect the base default of chips and sodas, or will there be something more?
Dunham: We are currently working on the menu. It will definitely be a variety of hot food from a local business.
Rivera: The Class of 2021 Google Classroom also mentions usage of lawn games. What exact games will be available for the students attending?
Dunham: We have about 5 cornhole sets, ladder golf and are still working on other games.
Rivera: Will school yearbooks be available for purchase at this event?
Dunham: As of writing this (June 8), there are 30 yearbooks left. If we still have yearbooks available, they will be for sale but it is best to contact Mr. Klek to see if they have been sold out yet.
Rivera: Exactly how long will this event take place for?
Dunham: We think the event will run about 2 hours.
