A night under the lights, Nottingham's High School’s Junior Prom was held on March 24, 2023 at Mercer Oaks Golf club. The day began with rainy weather, but eventually cleared up for the ‘Stars. Junior Class co-adviser Ms. Karen Bernet explained, “the Junior Prom was a successful event! Students took pictures and walked into the venue without getting soaked. We had a great turnout of 114 students and guests who packed the dance floor and danced the night away with DJ X's (Ms. Carina Foushee’s son) entertainment. DJ X did a phenomenal job taking requests and playing what the students would like to hear.” In addition to dancing and hanging out on the heated patios, students enjoyed appetizers such as mozzarella sticks and mini tacos as well as an abundance of assorted fruits and vegetables. For dinner, guests had an open buffet to choose from including Chicken Parmigiana, Salad, Roasted Potatoes, Green Beans and Penne a la Vodka followed by assorted desserts such as delectable brownies, cookies and coffee or tea. Definitely a night to remember, an experience that you can't recreate. To be able to be a part of a night where you begin to see the people you go to school with branch out in their own way. Junior Gianna Vetrano said “I had a great time at prom! I loved spending time with my friends and seeing everyone’s outfits. It was a lot of fun!” Overall it was an amazing experience to be a part of and definitely gave us all a reason to look forward to our Senior Prom.
