Interview: Post-Game Football 10/3 (20-21)
by Raven Roberts
Raven: What was the focus/gameplan coming on the field and how did it help you succeed?
Chris: Well Raven great question, the focus coming to the field this week i feel was to show everyone who Nottingham football really is. The game plan to me was very simple, just play your game and do what you do best and as you can see we all did that and turned out to pretty big victory
Ronaldo: The game plan was to win.
Raven: Who would you name MVP this game/ who do you feel did the most work behind the scenes?
Jed: Trey (Marc) Kauffman.
Bryan: I would say trey because the first kick off really got us going
Jed: I look up to trey
Chris: I mean ofc i wouldn’t say no one won us this game. But 5 carries and 3 touchdowns? That’s unheard of nowadays. So Trey had a major impact. But also Bryan, 7/10 2 touchdowns, sheesh oh my.
Chris: But chris williams also my gosh, why did dan merkel throw that ball w number 5 in vision?
Ronaldo: Trey set the tone for the whole team on the first kickoff return for the touch which just got everyone in the zone I wanna be like him when I grow up and we have the sexiest qb in the county by the way Bryan smolka
Marc: Bryan Smoka after all of what the media had to say about him during the off season he proved all of them wrong and even out shined the quarterback everyone was looking forward to seeing this season
Raven: What was something you guys did differently this game than in previous seasons?
Chris: I think leadership was major this year. Our seniors do a good job getting everyone ready for game day. And more of putting the ball in air
Ronaldo: Ehhh as the best corner in the county I just did what was expected anyways and not let up one completion
Raven: What makes you guys confident this season will be a successful one?
Jed: The change in the offense
Ronaldo: Spreading everyone out in the offense and just letting are athletes be athletes
Jed: Having Trey run the ball more because he is basically unstoppable
Ronaldo: And by also making Chris the second string rb just gives the offense more confidence having him off the field
Chris: I mean after Jed got his offers that motivated me to go even harder so that definitely boosted my confidence. and i just know i have to the best teammates in the Country, so i know if i do my jobs everyone will do theirs
Naldo: Yea that kid Jed he’s studdddd. I wanna be uhhh just like him.
Jed: I just wake up everyday and say to myself how can I be like Ronaldo Joseph and that’s how I got my offers
Marc: This year we have more experience and we know with the amount of talent we have we can not be stopped
Bryan: I think the attitude of everyone on the field when we play, everyone has each others backs and wants to be the best so we play our best.
Raven: What do you think you still need to work on to make the best of this season?
Bryan: I think we all need to work on not getting big egos and stay on our mission to win every game.
Ronaldo: Just stay focused and keep working
Jed: To fix our mistakes from last game. Last game we dropped 4 interceptions our linebackers were reading to slow our containment and we were lined up wrong all easy fixes and small mistakes
Marc: I feel like we need to work more on our communication as a whole team knowing what the man next to us have on ever down no matter the call
Chris: i feel like my play has to improve and i feel like we need to do a better job on defense catching the ball
