On December 6th, curious Nottingham students entered the library seeking to find knowledge on the art of programming. Thanks to the help of our computer science teachers and tech facilitators, we were able to make the fifth annual "Hour of Code" a successful one.
With the assistance from volunteers such as experienced computer science students and Coding Club members, we were able to make sure each student was getting the help they needed. Students were able to work their way through exciting coding games from Code.org that highlighted the procedures for coding and emphasized the importance of small details. The "Hour of Code" is only a fraction of what Hamilton has to offer on programming.
Here at Nottingham, we offer several computer courses and have recently started our own Coding Club. If interested, see Mrs. Betty Manzano or any computer science teacher. To see more photos from the event on Twitter, visit @ZBManzano and @NHS_CodingClub.
